This church is highly charismatic. Singing and clapping loudly are common sights as well as kneeling, arms being raised, and loud cries out to the lord. The sermons are targeted to college students and their incistence on you becoming a missionary and working within the church in Chapel Hill or the NE or Paris. The leaders like to pray outloud and lay their hands on folks. It was my experience that this was a way for them to get highly personal with each individual but occasionally pushed people away for their methods of ministering. The groups like to do fun activities at skating ring and outside games which are often used as ways to recruit new church goers. The group is very tighly knit and tends to be fairly homogenous when it comes to ethnic lines. It is a good church that teaches the word of God but can be a little too charismatic for some folks who are used to more traditional worship methods.
